Cruise-Ins Reviews
When we aren't working in Bubba's Garage we are out cruising.
Traveling around mostly west of the Washington, DC area, we stop by many
cruise-ins during the year. While most of our spots are close to the
eastern WV panhandle, anywhere in PA, MD, or VA is close enough for a
weekend cruise. Here are our thoughts on a few of these spots:
Anthony's Pizza Cruise-In - Valley
Cruisers
1st Sunday (May-October) 2:00pm-6:00pm
Anthony's Pizza - 1855 Senseny Rd - Winchester, VA
Being one of the few cruise-ins in the area on a Sunday, this new
cruise-in has potential. The lot has room for 75 or 80 cars. Anthony's
Pizza is sponsoring the cruise so you can get something to eat or drink
plus they provide restrooms. I have to say we picked the worst time to
go to this one for a review. This was the first time the cruise was held
and the Apple Blossom Car show was going on nearby at the same time. Had
a good time despite the lack of vehicles present.

Cruise the Cliff - Vista Tavern and
Grill
Saturday nights (June-September) 6:00pm-9:00pm
Quality Hotel Conference Center - Harpers Ferry, WV
This cruise-in is another new one. It has a nice location and a
decent amount of parking. The Vista Tavern is hosting the show and
everyone is very pleasant. Inside the conference center you will find
good eating at the seafood buffet and the newly renovated tavern serves
your typical grill type food. DJ plays a variety of music. Check

Cruisin' the Cone Zone - Country Roads Car Club
Friday nights (April-September) 6:30pm-9:30pm
Somerset Village Shopping Center - Charles Town, WV
Ice Cream stands always seem to be a good place for a cruise-in and
the Cone Zone is no exception. They have Hershey's hand dipped ice cream
as well as soft serve. Service is slow but it gives you time to
socialize as you wait for treats. Somerset Plaza has several
restaurants, a gas station, and a Food Lion grocery store with in
walking distance. The lot is a decent size and can accommodate over a
hundred vehicles. Music is played, mostly oldies. All vehicles are
represented including a decent gathering of motorcycles. Rating: B
Cruise-In at the Valley Mall
1st and 3rd Saturday nights (April-October) 6:00pm-10:00pm
Valley Mall - Hagerstown, MD
This is one of the areas biggest cruise-ins. The attending vehicles
range from T-buckets up to GT500s. Most nights the place is packed with
up to 300 cars. Since this is next to a shopping mall, there is plenty
of places to eat and also shopping if you get tired of the cars. Be
warned, if you are very sensitive about your vehicle you may want to
skip this one. Parking is tight and the crowds are not very respectful
about touching the vehicles. Entry fee: $2.00

Lions Club Cruise-In - Inwood-Bunker
Hill Lions Club
4th Saturday night 5:00pm-Dusk
Mill Creek Intermediate School - Rt. 11 - Bunker Hill, WV
Nice area for a cruise-in. A few art vendors to shop from and the
Lions Club provides food and drink. Not many cars when we were there but
it was the last day of the county fair. Entry fee: $2.00
